When working on a disaster recovery plan you should consider many options when it comes to backing up your precious data.
Depending on your budget, you can do one or more of the following:
1). In house backup using digital tapes.
2). In house using NAS devices configured RAID 5/RAID 10.
3). In house using a combination of digital tapes in and one or more NAS devices configured for RAID 5 / RAID 10.
4). Cloud backup service where all your data is backed up to a service provider for a monthly fee.
5). A hybrid approach.
Each method or approach will have its pros and cons. If it's in your budget we like to go with option 5 which enables customers quick recovery - even when your ISP may be down for whatever reason.
